Important News
Due to some comprehensible concern of some attendants, we would like to inform that the aftershocks experienced on March 11 in the central-south region of Chile are normal and very mild compared to the quake of February 27th. They do not represent a thread to safety and normal operation of the country. We are working normally at the University, the conference Venue, the airport, the hotels and the whole city have no impact. The conference remains scheduled as planned.

The IEEE-ICIT 2010 Organizing Committee would like to inform:
1) TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT:
Free transportation from the Airport to Viña del Mar downtown will be available for all ICIT 2010 attendees according to the following schedule:
SATURDAY 13: 11:00 - 15:30 - 21:00 - 23:59
SUNDAY 14: 11:00 - 15:30 - 21:00 - 23:59
Please note that the Chilean time zone is UTC-3.
Attendees who want to make their own arrangements to get Viña del Mar should look for the information available in the 'Getting There' section.
There will be an IEEE-ICIT 2010 volunteer team (blue T-shirts) helping the conference attendees at the airport from 8:00 to 23:59 on Saturday and Sunday.2) REGISTRATION DESK:

The conference starts on Sunday, 9:30 AM at Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria. Please check the program here
Buses leaving from the Enjoy Convention Center to the University will be available at 8:00 AM and noon. Tutorial attendees have free lunch at the University. There will also be free transportation to return to Viña del Mar after the tutorials.4) OPENING CEREMONY:
The conference opening Ceremony is scheduled on Monday 15 at 8:30 AM.
5) TOURISTIC INFORMATION:
In order to give all IEEE-ICIT 2010 attendees the best support at the airport, the half day trip (wine route) and the full day trip (copper route) have been cancelled. Refunds will be processed after the end of the conference.
'Valparaiso at night' tour has no modifications. The departure of this trip is scheduled on Wed. 17 March, 19:00 at Enjoy Casino and Convention Center. Touristic information will be available at the Information Desk.

It is our most sincere pleasure and honor to invite you to the IEEE-ICIT 2010 International Conference on Industrial Technology, to be held in March 2010 in Hotel del Mar, Viña del Mar, Chile. This conference is a great opportunity to present your latest achievements on industrial technology, to get acquainted with state of the art developments, to establish personal contact and to interact with world's leading researchers in academia and industry. We would be honored to have your input at the conference and contribution to the discussion on present trends, new challenges and future opportunities in key disciplines of industrial technology. This is also a unique opportunity to experience Chile. Viña del Mar and its neighbor city Valparaiso offer a very attractive location for such an important conference as ICIT. They combine a unique mixture of industrial, academic and touristic activities given by the copper and petrochemical industry, the highest university concentration of the country and the World Heritage city of sailors next to the vibrant beaches of Viña del Mar.
